If you want to go ahead and make money You have to stop focusing on all the Dumb little details dumb little things The things that aren't actually going to Make you money [Music] Be so many people when they first get Started like oh I want to go ahead and You know do this big amazing brand I Have this vision for this brand I have This thing where you know the colors Have to be great I have this thing where Every single detail in the future that Has no relationship to sales I have to Go ahead and make sure all that is Perfect that is one of the dumbest Things you could ever do when it comes To making money understand this when it Comes to making money nothing matters Other than money coming into the bank Account so you gotta ask yourself okay Well I'm working this job I don't have That much time okay all these things That do not actually bring money in you Shouldn't focus on them like you Literally shouldn't focus on them right And this is just something that we're Going ahead and learning because a lot Of people come up to me like Mike you Know I have all this money saved I want To go ahead and start a business you Know I have all this leeway where I can Go ahead and go out there and you know Spend more time on my business and then
They spend weeks or months sometimes Years playing around with this business Idea and nothing ever moves nothing ever Moves they make every single thing Perfect and yet they never bring money In right it's it's one of the dumbest Things you could go and do and I Remember I was the biggest culprit of This I remember when I was like stuck in College right I was like in college I'm Like all right I'm gonna get into e-commerce right Because e-commerce is one of the Businesses where you could go ahead and Make money online right you sell some Stuff to people bring them from you know Some other part of the world private Label them stand your own label on them And then go ahead and sell it right so Ecommerce was one of the business ideas And I remember I spent a good several Months just reading about e-commerce I Was going to events about e-commerce I Was talking to people about e-commerce I Was I bought so many books on e-commerce I was studying e-commerce as if I was Studying for an exam and the thing that Most people don't realize is how you Start a business and how you actually go Ahead and go to school come two Completely different things like two Completely different things oh I want to Go ahead and learn how to become you Know for example dentist so what do I
Have to do I have to go ahead and read Out of a book for years out of my life I Have to trade years of my productive Youth to go ahead and read out of a book So maybe one day in the future I could Go ahead and for example become a Dentist it's a way to learn things like Biology and chemistry take an exam you Know math signings take an exam and Before you know we're we're memorizing All these things but we're never Actually applying anything that we Learned right we're literally going Ahead reading a book and then writing Something down on what we read in a book When in life do you actually do that in The real world right if you want to go Ahead and for example you know be a Doctor a dentist a lawyer you can learn All the things in the books but what you Actually learn is from the practice of Actually doing it if I want to go ahead And get good at basketball and I'm like Reading all the books about basketball Or you know I'm looking at all the Documentaries and the movies about Basketball and I'm like oh man I'm going To become a very good basketball player One day and every single day I'm just Reading books reading books about Basketball I'm never going to improve Because how you improve in anything in Life is time underneath the bar of you Getting reps in that specific thing that
